The new light hybrid engine, based on the 4-cylinder 2.0 turbo petrol engine, delivers a total of 330 hp. The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid will be available from September 2020.

Il nuovo motore ibrido leggero, basato sul 4 cilindri 2.0 turbo a benzina, eroga complessivamente 330 CV. La Maserati Ghibli Hybrid sarà disponibile da settembre 2020.

PRESTAZIONI DA V6 – A dispetto della cilindrata di due litri, ridotta per un motore della Maserati, il 4 cilindri ha numeri in linea con propulsori di maggiore cubatura: la Ghibli Hybrid ha 330 CV a 5.750 giri e 450 Nm di coppia a 4.000 giri.

PERFORMANCE FROM V6 – Despite the two-liter displacement, reduced for a Maserati engine, the 4-cylinder has numbers in line with larger cubic capacity engines: the Ghibli Hybrid has 330 HP at 5,750 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.

MASERATI MC20

MC20 underlines the sporting credentials of the new model: MC stands for Maserati Corse and 20 refers to 2020, the year which marks the start of a new phase in Maserati’s history.

The first racing car to wear the Trident logo was the Tipo 26, where the number indicated the year of manufacture, and in the same way, the MC20 will be the first car born in the new Era of the Modena firm.

The super sports car is the natural evolution of the highly successful MC12, the car that in 2004 marked  Maserati’s return to racing after 37 years.

The MC12 won 22 races (including 3 victories in the 24 Hours of Spa) and 14 Championship titles across Constructors’ Championship, Drivers’ Championship and Teams’ Championships in the FIA GT from 2004 to 2010.

Maserati will return to the world of racing with the new MC20.

Maserati Ghibli

Maserati Ghibli is an impressive sedan 497 cm long and 195 wide. But the muscular and streamlined line, also thanks to the roof only 146 cm from the ground, gives it the coupé grit. The combination of sportiness and luxury is found in the passenger compartment, elegant and made with extensive use of precious materials: the leather upholstery is standard for the seats and can be extended to other interior elements for a fee; options include carbon fiber details, lacquered wood or briar. In front you travel on large and enveloping armchairs and the sofa comfortably accommodates two adults (but not a possible third, being the central place quite raised); considering the sport extraction of this Modenese, the trunk is also not bad, which has a capacity of 500 liters and can be expanded by reclining the split backrest. Comfortable (especially if electronic suspension is added) and well soundproofed at constant speed, the Maserati Ghibli boasts excellent driving qualities: grip, braking and precision are true thoroughbred.

Maserati Khamsin: il vento egiziano soffia sul tridente italiano.

Come da tradizione di Maserati il nome deriva da un vento: questa volta tocca all’omonimo vento egiziano.

As per Maserati tradition, the name derives from a wind: this time it’s the Egyptian wind of the same name.

Progettata sotto la supervisione dell’ingegnere Giulio Alfieri, aveva un telaio completamente nuovo rispetto alla Ghibli, con scocca portante d’acciaio, mentre al posteriore c’è forse la novità principale della nuova GT del Tridente: l’adozione delle sospensioni a ruote indipendenti su entrambi gli assi, con la particolarità di doppi gruppi molle-ammortizzatori.

Per quanto riguarda il motore, la Khamsin, è equipaggiata da un V8 bialbero da 4,9 litri a carter secco che eroga 320 cavalli a 5.500 giri/min.; ed era montato anteriormente ma era stato arretrato, dietro l’assale anteriore, per garantire una più ottimale distribuzione dei pesi.

Designed under the supervision of the engineer Giulio Alfieri, it had a completely new chassis compared to the Ghibli, with a steel supporting body, while at the rear there is perhaps the main novelty of the new GT del Tridente: the adoption of independent wheel suspensions on both axles, with the peculiarity of double springs-shock absorbers.

As for the engine, the Khamsin is equipped with a 4.9-liter V8 twin-shaft crankcase with dry sump that delivers 320 horsepower at 5,500 rpm; and it was mounted at the front but had been set back, behind the front axle, to ensure a more optimal weight distribution.

Per quanto riguarda gli interni la Maserati, considerandola la sua ammiraglia sportiva, la dotò di tutti i migliori dispositivi dell’epoca avvolti in una lussuosa pelle pregiata, come da tradizione della casa.

As for the interiors, Maserati, considering it its sports flagship, endowed it with all the best devices of the time wrapped in luxurious leather, as was the tradition of the house.
